Cellar News - May 2013

Our Winemaker, Chris Mazepink is no longer with us, and we have replaced him with a Wine Team consisting of owners Carol and Steve , VP  (and long time ago cellar rat ) Lorne, Cellarmaster Michael, Lab and Purchasing Manager Kim and Wine Team Captain Bill Kremer.

 The team has been doing grueling three hour blend trials twice a day to slowly find a perfect blend for our 2012 FIRST CLASS.   The 2012 vintage was very small (14,000 cases instead of our normal 20,000) but oh so incredible.  WOW, wait till you get a taste of this one!  The Team will be doing blending trials for the next few weeks, and then we will start racking the lots designated for our 2012 Estate Pinot Noir.   We will polish this blend for bottling in July.  The 2012 FIRST CLASS will relax in French barrels until bottling a year from now.
